A concept supermarket with Dynamic!

For one of Bursa’s leading supermarket chains, operating over 130 stores, a new-generation concept supermarket was designed and delivered in the Balat district. This project was conceived not as a single store, but as a strategic pilot—a benchmark for the brand’s future retail transformation.

The Challenge: Adapting to New Retail Expectations

Modern supermarkets are no longer defined solely by product range. Speed, clarity, flexibility, and experience now determine performance.

While the existing store network was operationally strong, several limitations had become evident:

• Limited category legibility
• Rigid shelving systems resistant to change
• A store language no longer aligned with evolving consumer behavior

The objective was clear:
to create a store concept that works today and remains relevant tomorrow.

Strategic Approach

In this project, Sova Retail Solutions approached the store as a holistic retail system, not a standalone design exercise.

Every decision was evaluated through four lenses:

• Customer flow
• Product visibility
• Operational efficiency
• Long-term scalability across the chain

The guiding principle was to develop one adaptable concept capable of being replicated throughout the network.

Concept Design: Intelligent Spatial Organization

The Balat concept store was planned with a strong emphasis on spatial clarity and intuitive movement.

Key design principles included:

• Clear circulation axes
• Strong category zoning
• Visually calm shelving compositions
• A design language that highlights products, not architecture

The result is a store where customers move effortlessly, and staff manage categories with ease.
